Hip-hop star Rick Ross is set to mark the 20th anniversary of his debut album Port of Miami with a special live performance at the iconic Fox Theatre on July 18, venue officials announced on Wednesday.
The highly anticipated event will see Ross performing alongside the Renaissance Orchestra and the Sainted Trap Choir, creating a unique blend of hip-hop, orchestral music, and choral arrangements. The concert is being promoted as a “black tie experience,” inviting fans to enjoy an upscale night of music while celebrating one of the rapper’s most influential projects.
Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster, while presale access begins Wednesday at 10 a.m.
The concept is similar to a performance by Jeezy in 2025 at the same venue, where he celebrated the 20th anniversary of his debut album Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 with an orchestra-backed concert.
Released in August 2006, Port of Miami debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured hit singles such as Hustlin' and Push It, which helped launch Ross into mainstream success.
Ross’ most recent Detroit appearance was in March 2025 at Little Caesars Arena. He also made a notable appearance at the venue in July 2025, when he accompanied boxing champion Claressa Shields to the ring ahead of her fight.
The anniversary concert promises to be a memorable tribute to Port of Miami, bringing fans a powerful fusion of rap, orchestral instrumentation, and live choir performances in celebration of the album’s lasting legacy.
